With its exceptional climate, and beautiful view sites over the Indian Ocean, Plettenberg Bay is perfect for tourists interested in exploring, watching or just lazing.

Beaches

Plett boasts the best beaches along the Garden Route. We have no less than 4 beaches that in total measure more than 15 km's in length.

Golf

Plettenberg Bay is well known for its beautiful golf courses - Plettenberg Bay Country Club and Goose Valley. Both are superb 18 hole courses. Booking ahead of time is essential. Other courses to play are Pezula and Simola in Knysna and Fancourt in George.

Boat Cruises

Ocean Safaris and Ocean Blue cruises leave from Central Beach on a daily basis. After a short briefing, an exhilarating beach launch will be the start of your adventure. The boats operate three to four times a day, seven days a week, depending on sea and weather conditions. The duration of each tour is approximately 2 hours, life jackets, windbreakers and refreshments are provided.

Elephant Park

Here the legacy of the Knysna Elephant lives on. The experience is somewhat of a closer kind than at Kruger or Addo - visitors are allowed to touch and feed the elephants. The Knysna Elephant Park and The Elephant Sanctuary are both 10 minutes by car from the centre of Plettenberg Bay.

Monkeyland

Monkeyland is unique as a primate sanctuary. It is home to many varied species of monkey from several continents, which were captive bred prior to their release at Monkeyland. Situated 16 km east of Plett, it offers visitors safaris conducted by game rangers. This is the world's only multi specie, free roaming primate sanctuary.

Birds Of Eden

Birds of Eden is the World's largest single span aviary. The sanctuary provides a better life for 3 000+ previously caged birds. A large variety of both indigenous and exotic birds can be seen at the sanctuary, however Birds of Eden will eventually be home to the largest collection of free-flight African birds in the World.

Jukani Wild Life Sanctuary

Where big cats are at home. A life changing experience with Bengal Tigers. White Bengal Tigers, Siberian Tigers, Lions, Leopards and Black Leopard Pumas, Jaguars, Wild Dog's, Snakes and a lot more
